Tiger Lily
I met a lovely woman at a dinner party who was curious about my paper flowers. When I offered to create a custom arrangement for her home, she immediately thought of her daughter, Lily.
Inspired by this beautiful name, I decided to craft a fiery Tiger Lily. To capture the unique beauty of this flower, I used a special dyeing technique on tissue paper to create the petals and leaves. The playful freckles were added with a simple black marker.
I hope this vibrant Tiger Lily brings joy to Lily and her mom.

After seeing what you can do with bleach and dyes, Hydrangea seems like a fun project to try. I knew mixing these techniques would show the array of colors I was after. A hydrangea is a beautiful blossom that is made up of many tiny blooms. I used about 60 florets per plant as well as 6-8 leaves in deep rich greens. This trio can be displayed as a group of as single plants around a room.
